When looking for shower accommodations, we have gone from using a tub transition model to a roll-in shower chair that is awesome. Since Lynn cannot assist with his shower at all, the roll-in version is a life-saver for me. However, when I was helping with my Mom, the bathtub transition one worked well with our tub to allow her to sit on the side and slide into the bathtub without the risk of falling.
Ramps are essential if you have mobility devices with wheels and entrances with any amount of height. I’ve used versions of all these ramps. They are durable, easy to transport, and easy to use. I keep one of the suitcase ones outside on my deck all the time in all sorts of weather and it’s holding up nicely. I highly recommend them to help get powerchairs into and out of the house but they are also helpful for manual wheelchairs and even if using a rollator or pushing carts.
