Blog Library: My Experiences as a Caregiver

“MS Caregiver Sharing” Blog Began in 2011

As you look through my blog library, you’ll see that I began writing about becoming a caregiver in 2011. Since that time, I shared how I honestly felt about the challenges I encountered as a spouse caregiver and the blessings I received. In 2013 I was asked to start writing for www.MultipleSclerosis.Net as one of their contributors. I agreed, knowing I could reach more caregivers through their voice and reposting on my website.  Unfortunately, as Lynn’s MS progressed, my time to write became limited, and my contributions significantly decreased. In recent years, my ability to contribute has been rare.

Blog Library Listing

Below I’ve created a Blog Library listing everything I’ve written either for MSCaregiving Sharing or MultipleSclerosis.Net.  Topics include insights into emotional and challenges for caregivers and care recipients, difficulties in balancing caregiving and other life expectations, the impact on employment and families, and much more.

Sharing My Experience to Offer Encouragement

I hope by sharing my experiences, you may find encouragement and courage to face yours.  I found my strength through knowing that God was in control of my life, no matter what was happening, and that He never left me to face anything alone.  Therefore, I learned as the Bible taught, I tried to deal with each day’s struggles at that moment and not to build them up to something that encompassed the future.  In other words, I tried to face one day at a time. When I was successful in doing following that advice, I was less stressed and had more joy. I recommend trying it out.
